Oscar de la Renta started and ended his Spring 2013 bridal show with striking red dresses, but the looks that came between them hewed to traditional shades of white. Whether starting and ending with a flash of fire was a way to awaken the audience’s senses or an appeal to a different customer wasn’t clear — the white dresses that made up the bulk of the show were just as powerful.

The MiaMia gowns are light and pretty with beautiful touches of beading which highlight the fluid silhouettes and lovely movement of the gowns. They are using silk duchesse, silk slipper satin and silk organza, but also offer other fabrics as alternatives to those used on the sample gowns.

Gilles Montezin received his professional training at l’Ecole de la Haute Couture in Paris. After completing his studies, he went to work at l’Opera Bastille where he perfected techniques for elaborate period costuming that contribute to his craft. At the same time, he worked for both Loris Azzaro and Christian Lacroix Haute Couture and remained at Maison Lacroix for eight years.
