Mercedes Alonso began her activity as a designer in one of Spanish most important bridal companies of the eighties: Mundo Novias. Her designs were always warmly received at renowned international shows in Spain. After some years of succesful design work for Mundo Novias, which fostered the important growth of said company in the nineties, Mercedes Alonso decides to take a step forward and set up her own business, where she can develop all her creation ability.
This was the birth of the firm “Mercedes Alonso”. Imagination and sobriety, together with the carefull selection of the fabrics and the meticulous hand made finishings of her designs are distinguishing marks of this woman who as a child designed dresses for her dolls and now creates dreams for a woman who wants to be princess for one day
