Clarence House today released the official Royal Wedding album that shows the beaming bride and groom in the throne room at Buckingham Palace.

Prince William and Kate posed for the stunning photographs shortly after getting married in a moving ceremony that captivated the world yesterday.

The newly-titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared to be lost in matrimonial bliss as they smiled for the traditional wedding day photo album taken by Hugo Burnand. He said the scenes clearly reveal the couple’s love for each other.

Despite predictions that rain would put a dampener on the big day, it stayed dry and the sun even managed to poke its head out.

In a stunning ivory gown with lace applique floral detail designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen, Kate walked up the red carpeted aisle a commoner.

At Westminster Abbey’s altar she became a royal. She clutched a bunch of white flowers as she embarked on the short drive to Westminster Abbey, before starting her three-minute walk up the aisle to be with her groom.

Kate Middleton has changed into a second wedding dress for the evening reception – but her decision to stick to a very similar shape to THE wedding dress shows she knows what suits her.

It is another McQueen design by Sarah Burton, this time a strapless white dress with an embroidered waistband. It is a very similar silhouette with a McQueen fitted bodice and carries the theme from day to night.

She has ditched the train – far more practical for dancing – and an elegant shrug will keep off the spring evening chill.

Kate Middleton has left behind her commoner roots and her name to become Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.

Prince William was given a dukedom – the highest rank in British peerage – on his wedding day by his grandmother the Queen, and will be known from now on as the Duke of Cambridge.

He also became the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus and Kate will become the Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus – though the titles are expected to be used only rarely, mainly in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively.

On her father’s arm, Kate walked up the aisle as a commoner to the sounds of the coronation anthem, Parry’s ‘I Was Glad’.

When they arrived at the altar Prince William apparently cracked a joke to his father-in-law, according to a lip-reader, saying: ‘We’re supposed to have just a small family affair.’

Moments earlier, William’s best man Prince Harry apparently told his brother: ‘Right she is here now.’

As her groom waited, Kate moved along the red carpet, around the south side of the poppy-lined Grave of the Unknown Warrior – the only gravestone in the abbey over which it is not permitted to walk.
