I recently purchased the Pronovias Nicole dress in light ivory in a size 14 (street size 8-10). Although it is a BEAUTIFUL dress, I have always pictured myself in a slimmer mermaid dress for my wedding. My mother, on the other hand, wanted a more “princess” look and bought the Nicole despite my telling her I just “wasn’t sure it is the one!” The dress is still in production and should be arriving in September.
I recently found a dress that I think is THE ONE! It’s by La Sposa style# Mariona. However, I am scared to buy it because I just don’t know if I would be able to sell the pronovias…
If you know ANYONE who is thinking about buying the Pronovias NICOLE dress in light ivory, size 14… PLEASE consider buying it from me! With taxes and shipping we paid over $1,500 but I am willing to sell for $1,200 or best offer. It’s still being made in Barcelona, should be arriving in September.

Can you believe it took 9 months for me to get my Pronovias Nicole in the US? I live in Michigan and ordered my dress 2 wks before thanksgiving and it will arrive on August 1st i’m told.
Why does it take that long, when I have talked to people in the UK who received their in less than 2 months????

Aimee, really, this is the first time I hear about this. I don’t remember somebody else with the same problem. Maybe they had some issues shipping it
I really don’t know but 9 months is a very long period .

Aimee – I have been told by a few bridal salon owners in the US that since Pronovias opened its flagship store in NY, orders are taking far longer than in the past because the NY store takes priority in regards to shipping. For any future purchasers – I would recommend ordering at least 10 months in advance, or telling the salon that your wedding date is 2-3 months earlier than it actually is. When it gets down to crunch time, they still deliver, but this ensures you a bit of a cushion for alterations, etc.

Hi,
Sure, the spring/summer 2008 collection will have a sold sale but not earlier then the summer of 2009. So you’ll have to be just in time with your gown
, if you have the nerves to do that.
It all depends on the retailers, you can ask them yourself. You’ll find that their more willing to help then you’d think.
Pronovias doesn’t have a trunk/sample sale marketing. So the only way to get this sort of discount is to their retailers. For instance you can get some discounts at their New York store (their brand new store ).

I just left a bridal shop here in Atlanta where I tried on the Rosa Clara Salome 108.I have seen it in every magazine I have looked at since my engagement and I love it more every time I see it. It was the first dress I put on and I burst into tears. I know they say that is common but I am not the overly emotional type so I didn’t think that would be me. But I looked gorgeous. It hugs like a corset all the way down to my hips. It is cut like no other dress I have ever seen. Not too much frill, beads or lace but still very elegant. At the insistence of my girlfriend and the sales rep I tried on 5 other dresses…they all paled in comparison. So I have found my dress. It is right under $1400. My wedding will be in June. Any ladies here interested in going in on it with me. We can work something out (60/40 perhaps?). Email me moandrico@ymail.com . Hello! I purchased the Rosa Clara 108 Salome as well, and it should be here anyday now!!! My wedding is in June. I purchased it at a Bridal Salon in Rockville, MD. At the time they had a special coupon so it was about $1100-1200. Not sure if I want to sell it yet. Those purchasing make sure you specify colors…there’s white, ivory and natural!:)

I wore Rosa Clara’s Salome gown for my wedding on April 4 and looked like a total princess, if i do say so myself
I changed into a more casual dress for the reception so the gown is in excellent condition. Size 44 (I’m a US size 10 and the gown fit me like a glove. The only alterations made were to the bust. I had it taken in slightly–1/2 inch or less on each side. Alterations work was done by a master seamstress at my local Neiman Marcus. I am 5ft 11in tall in heels and the dress was the perfect length–no alterations made to the hem. My salome is the “natural” color which is a lovely shade that is neither stark bright white nor ivory…rather it’s a perfect creamy color somewhere in between the two
